Hello everyone! Been busy with kids and all. It’s been ages ago since my last post. I hope you didn’t missed me that much! ;p
Today is another DIY Candy Kit that I also have given to me by my good friend from Japan. Her birthday is fast approaching and I am missing her so much! I hope she gets to read this soon! Last time, I review a candy kit from Kracie Poppin’ Cookin’. I’ve always known before that this is the only company who makes DIY candy kits, to my amazement, Soft Ramune Candy kit is by Meiji Chewing Gum, Ltd. The company known to me as a manufacturer of nice smooth dark chocolates and milk chocolates. Yum! My mouth is salivating as I remember how yummy they were :D.
With my further research, I’ve learned Ramune means japanese soda. These candy are inspired by carbonated drinks turned into candy. As other reviewers has experience, these candies has a hint of soda more like of Sprite or 7-up. Instructions are all in Japanese but it is doable since the pictures are clear.
The Soft Ramune Candy Kit has 3 flavors in it: Orange, Soda and Strawberry. These three flavors can be combine to form new colors for the candy. For example, Pink (Strawberry) and Blue (Soda) are mixed together to form Purple color. And so on.
The kit comes with a mold for the candy shape and design. It also contain a mixing palette in a form of cardboard to be assembled before the start of mixing the powders in it. I assumed those colors on the cardboard mean the colors of the powder packs to be mixed.
We had fun making this kit! Though we find ours as too sticky, because the powder that we had is already moist so we don’t bother to put on some more water in it and proceeded to mold it. And because we live in a tropical country and we had a crazy warm weather, the moist is too much and it became more sticky. But nonetheless, fun is important.
