Last week I featured Ms. Ai as my rainbow loom bracelet designer of the week. This week is a very young and inventive lady which has been in the looming world for as long as I can remember. Most of her designs were my first try before I became hook with rainbow looming. She is the cute and most of the times serious lady, Claire’s Wears! Claire has her own channel on YT and she does all her bracelet tutorials. She is not just into rainbow loom but also do some stuffs with polymer clay and makes patterns for friendship bracelets. What I love about her is that, at a very young age, she mastered to make her own original designs, and really knows her way through the loops of the bands when it comes to rainbow loom. I wouldn’t be surprise if one day, she would create her own loomigurumi patterns too!
For this week, I’ll be sharing you all some of her designs that I really like. I’m gonna start it with this lovely design, very cute and easy to make. You can do this with just your hook or you can also do this with the loom. Both of which has a YT tutorial by her, The Diagonalism Bracelet. Claire designed this for over a year now. One of her designs that has been made by many other loomers out there. If you wanna see those bracelets that has been made, please see #diagonalismbracelet in IG. There has been over 90 posts already in that gallery not counting Claire’s work and other work that hasn’t been hashtag. I don’t think Claire hashtag her designs by name, but if you wanna check her other designs, you can visit her IG @claires_wears.
Here is Diagonalism Bracelet looks like. I made mine with official rainbow loom bands in Opaque Cocoa as my base and border. And also Pastel Yellow, Blue and Green in Opaque Pastel Mixed Pack. I just love how it turned out so pretty! I’ve mention that you can do this design also on a rainbow loom, but today I will share to you how she did it with just a rainbow loom hook only.
What you’ll be needing to make this bracelet:
1. Rainbow Loom Hook or a crochet hook that is double ended for easy flipping of bands.
2. Set of bands – As any other bracelets we can also experiment colors for this design. You will only need approximately 75 or less bands to make this bracelet. I used 4 different colors for my sample in this post.
3. A c-clip. You can use a clear one or the new colored ones. I use the regular clear c-clip in this post.
